Obituary of William Wolverton

William W. Wolverton, 81, of Washington, NJ died Sunday at his home in Washington, NJ. He was born in Washington Twp ( Warren County ) on June 24, 1931. He was the son of the late William Charles and Helen Conroy Wolverton. Bill had worked as a Night Clerk for Acme Food Markets for over 17 years retiring several years ago. He was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School in Washington, NJ. Bill was devoted to his family and enjoyed picnics and family gatherings of all kind. He was very active in the Eire Lackawanna Historical Society. He also loved model plane and trains. Bill was an avid bowler. He was a parishioner of the St Ann's Catholic Church in Hampton, NJ and a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Council 5170 Washington, NJ. Bill had a very strong devotion to GOD and to our Blessed Mother. His loving wife the former Jean Ranelli in 2009. Bill is survived by his son William M and his wife Karen of Washington NJ, a daughter Teresa Cappello and her husband Ronald of Port Murray, NJ and a brother John Wolverton of Washington, NJ. Visitation will be Wednesday November 14, 2012 from 4-8pm and Thursday November 15th, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Devoe Funeral Service, 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 10:00 am in St Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 32 Main Street, Hampton, NJ.
