Obituary of Ella Lalley

Ella R. Lalley, 96, of Washington, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Warren Haven Nursing Home, Oxford, NJ. Ella was born on January 29, 1917 in Blairstown, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall T. and Ameila ( nee Chambers) Parr. She and her husband, Raymond owned and operated Gibson Park Market, Washington, NJ. She was an avid baseball fan especially of the Brooklyn Dodgers and The Mets. She liked to travel and spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond Patrick Lalley in 1960. She is survived by three sons, Raymond and wife Beverly of White Township, NJ, James and wife Sharon of White Township, NJ, and Barry of Papua, New Guinea, and one granddaughter, Audra Lalley of Santa Monica, CA. She is predeceased by a brother, Gershom Parr, three sisters, Pearl Cook , Edith Shoemaker and Florence Reed, and a granddaughter, Sara Lalley. A visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 9.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ. Donations can be sent to Warren Haven Nursing Home, 350 Oxford, NJ 07863.
