Obituary of Alice Joyce Grafer

Alice “Joyce” Grafer, 80 of Washington NJ, died Saturday January 23, 2010 in Hackettstown Hospital, Hackettstown NJ. Joyce was born February 26, 1929 in Belvidere NJ. She was the daughter of the late Robert Charles and Maude Shay Barbaro. Retiring in 1995, after 16 years at M&M Mars in Hackettstown where she was a packer. Prior to that, she was employed as a Crossing Guard in Washington Borough from 1968-1979. Joyce loved her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling. Her Husband Robert Grafer Sr. preceded her in death in 1995. Surviving Joyce are her son Robert Jr. and his wife Patricia of Harmony Twp NJ, a daughter Laura Brawner of Upper Mt Bethel Twp PA, 5 grandchildren, Terry and Eric Barker and Stephanie and Christopher Grafer, and David O’Leary, a brother Robert Barbaro and two sisters Patricia Thomas of Belvidere and Rose Scott of Washington NJ. Two brothers Daniel and Anthony Barbaro and a sister Barbara Ann Dornich preceded her in death. Family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 7-9 PM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ 07882. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11AM in the Funeral home, followed by a graveside services in the Belvidere Cemetery.
