Obituary of Margaret Hann

Margaret Hance Hann, 104, formerly of Port Colden, New Jersey passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Warren Haven Nursing Home, Oxford, NJ. Margaret was born on January 6, 1908 in Stewartsville, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Rebecca Sickles Hance and William Kelly Hance. She worked at Pohatcong Hosiery Mill and retired from Oxwall Manufacturing in 1973. Margaret was a member of Port Colden United Methodist Church for 73 years. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Choir member and belonged to the Women's Society. She was on of the original members of Warren County Nutrition in Washington, NJ. She enjoyed bus trips with the Broadway, NJ and Washington, NJ Seniors. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, James Hann. She is survived by three daughters, Jean E. Chapman of Hamilton Square, NJ, Ruth E. Seeley and her husband Charlie of Port Colden, NJ, and Brenda J. Horn and her husband Robert Sr. of Port Colden, NJ, grandchildren, James Chapman, Nancy Dempsey, Jamie Kavelak and her husband Tim, Robert Jr. and Brian Horn, six great-grandchildren, and one-great-great grandson. She is predeceased by brothers, Robert and Harry Hance, and a grandson, David Seeley. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will follow at noon in the funeral home. An interment will be hled at Stewartsville Lutheran Cemetery, Stewarstville, NJ. Memorials may be sent to the Port Colden United Methodist Church, 5 New Street, Washington, NJ 07882. .
