Obituary of Lois Jenkins

Lois A. Jenkins, 77, of Bangor, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Lois was born on July 26, 1934 in Celo, NC. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lynn and Lizzy ( nee Allen) Carroll. Lois loved flowers and gardening. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belvidere, Belvidere, NJ. She loved her family, spending time with grandchildren, and her dog Mollie. She is survived by three daughters, Regina Bunting and husband Charles Jr. of Bangor, PA, Vickie Britt and husband Ronnie of Catawaba, NC, and Wanda Gail Shew and husband Bruce of Conover, NC, five sisters, Thelma West, Ruth Yule, Barbara Buchanan, Bonatia Bowen, and Carolyn Nanny, thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her late husband, Ted Jenkins in 1998 and fourteen brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. An internment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Oxford, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois's memory can be made to Abilities, P.O. Box 251, Washington, NJ 07882.
