Obituary of Fay Burd

Fay Burd 88 of Washington NJ died peacefully on March 8, 2017 in the Care Center of Lopat, Lopatcong Twp NJ. She was born in Easton PA June 19 1928. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys Kummer Sarson. Fay moved to Washington in 1933 and graduated from Washington High School in 1945. She and her late husband Robert enjoyed traveling the world and spending winters in their Florida home. Fay was a member of the Washington Womans Club, The Warren Hospital Auxillary and the Order of the Eastern Star #166 She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington NJ Her husband Robert preceded her in death in 2015. Surviving are twin sons John and his wife Elaine of White Twp and James and his wife Carol of Mansfield Twp PA, a son Robert and his wife Carol of Egg Harbor Twp NJ, sisters; June Lance and her companion Mario Pasquini of Washington and Kathie Gonyeau and her husband James of Michigan, God daughter Lorifay Wright of Washington NJ, Twelve grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Visitation will be on Monday March 13 from 11AM until Noon followed by funeral Service at noon in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882. Fay will be buried in the Montana cemetery next to her husband. Memorials are requested to the First Presbyterian Church 40 East Church Street Washington NJ 07882 or The Washington Womans Club C/O Barbara Miller 125 Mcdonald Street Washington NJ 07882. The DeVoe Funeral Service of Washington NJ has been entrusted with her arrangements.
