Obituary of Hazel Geshner

Hazel Geshner, 95 of Heath Village in Hackettstown NJ, died on January 5th, 2014 in Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. She was born in Downers Grove, IL, on April 20, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marie Ahrens Miller. Hazel had worked in the Sussex County Welfare Board in Newton, NJ retiring in 1978. She was very active on many bowling leagues and was even an instructor. Hazel belonged to the League of Woman Voters and active in the Newcomers Club in Millburn, NJ. She was at one time very active in the Sparta Presbyterian Church, Sparta NJ. Hazel is predeceased by her loving husband John A Geshner in 2004. Surviving is her daughter Susan Kaplowe of Blairstown NJ, son John R Geshner of Gretna, Louisiana. 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also predeceased by a brother Robert Miller and a sister Majorie Craig. A Memorial Service will be held January 25, 2014 at 1:30 pm-3:30 pm at the Auditorium of Heath Village 430 Schooleys Mountain Road Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
