Obituary of Judith Ann Yerkes

Judith Ann Yerkes, age 67, of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013. Judith was born November 21, 1945 in Peterborough England to Palmy Salvatore and the late Gladys Joan (Clarke) Matragrano. She was a biology teacher out of college and then went into banking, working as an executive for Skylands, Midlantic and PNC Banks. She enjoyed her family, especially her 12 grandchildren, and traveled all over the world with her husband of 17 years, Thomas. Judy was a member of the Red Hat and Lioness clubs. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Yerkes; children Jennifer (Kent) Spencer of Hannover PA, Pamela Kleh of Washington NJ and Deborah (Jay) Middaugh of Washington NJ, Diane Kriedler of Wilson PA, Cheryl (Rick) Allen of Washington NJ, Tammy (Rick) Cowan of WapwallopenPA, and Thomas Yerkes of Nescopeck PA; father Palmy Matragrano; grandchildren Jack and Shannon Spencer, Tyler and Trevor Kleh, Joshua and Alex Middaugh, Jaime Kreidler, Ricky and Michelle Allen, Sabrina Cowan, Thomas and Alexandra Yerkes; sister Jane Farina of Ocean City NJ; and nephew Wesley Miller. She is predeceased by her first husband Douglas R Harris and mother Gladys Joan Matragrano. Visitations will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2013 at DeVoe Funeral Services in Washington NJ. A funeral will take place at 11:00AM on Tuesday, June 11 at DeVoe Funeral Services, followed by interment in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Contributions in Judy's memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
