Obituary of Doris Moyer

Doris J. Moyer, 86 of Bangor, died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, PA. She was the loving wife of Charles M. Moyer for 69 years. She was born on April 2, 1925 in Nazareth, PA. She was the daughter of the late Hayden and Alfrieda ( nee Grube) Williams. Doris graduated from Nazareth High School in 1942 and attended Churchman’s Business College. She and her husband owned and operated Hemlock Sportswear in West Bangor, PA where she was the secretary and accountant for the business until they retired in 1982. She was a member of Living Word Fellowship in Washington, NJ. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 69 years; Charles M. Moyer. She is survived by two daughters; Audrey LaBarre and her husband; Reverend William LaBarre of Selinsgrove, PA and Sandra Harrison and her husband Reverend Rick Harrison of Nazareth, PA ;two sons; Robert Moyer and his wife Becky of Bethlehem, PA and Dennis Moyer and his wife Patti of Littleton, CO. twelve granchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a brother; Donald Williams. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Living Word Fellowship, 51 North Lincoln Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. An interment will follow at Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield Township, PA. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church, preceding the services.
