Obituary of Joseph J Foldvary

Deacon Joseph J. Foldvary, 85, dedicated father and photographer of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away on November 8, 2016, at Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Philomena (nee Glaser) Foldvary. He was born in New York City, on Jan 1, 1931. Joesph moved to Musconetcong River Road Hunterdon County, NJ in 1946. He raised his family and lived there until moving to Florida in 2011. Joseph was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated seminary in 1981 and became an ordained Deacon. He served as a deacon for St. Ann's Church in Hampton where he taught CCD and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Joseph had his own photography studio and had photographed Eleanor Roosevelt. Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Marion. He is survived by two daughters, Andrea and Alyson; and two grand-daughters, Emily and Olivia. A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 15 from 6-8pm at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday November 16, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the Saint Ann's Church 6 Church Street Hampton, N.J.
