Obituary of Eile Hannema

Eile Hannema, of Mansfield Township, passed away on March 11, 2012 in Penn Yan, New York. He was 90 years old. Born and raised in Dedgum, Friesland, The Netherlands, he was the son of the late Auke and Jeltje Jaeger Hannema. He immigrated with his family to British Columbia, Canada in 1957, moved to Bakersfield, California in 1959 and then in the same year relocated to Washington Township, Morris County before establishing a family dairy farm in Mansfield Township, New Jersey in 1968. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Hinke Hannema, in 2007 and by a son, Allen, who died in 2002. He is survived by two sons Auke and his wife, Ileana, of Mansfield Township, New Jersey and Willem and his wife, Margaret Jean, of Washington Township, NJ, a daughter Dorothy Nolan and her husband, Gerald,of Penn Yan, New York and grandchildren Willem and his wife, Erica, Holly and her husband, James, Laura, Jennifer, Gerald, Robert, and Brent and a great grandson, Willem Neil. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will follow 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A burial will follow in Washington Cemetery, Washington, NJ.
