Obituary of Violet Botsko

Violet S. Botsko, age 81, of Wind Gap, PA, formerly of Washington Boro, died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem, PA. Violet was born February 21, 1928 in Black Creek Twsp, PA a daughter of the late John and the late Margaret (Hopeck) Grusetskie. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Tychinski in 1970 and her second husband, Anthony J. Botsko in 1996. She was a seamstress all her life and employed by Snappy Knits of Manville, NJ Violet was a member of USS Sampson Reunion Association, St. Theodore's Catholic Church, Rosary Society and the St. Ann's Homebound Group. She had a long time association with the Hunterdon State School. Violet is survived by two daughters, Diane Allen-Stefanel of Wind Gap, PA, and Linda Mills of Hampton, NJ; one son, Steven Tychinski of Washington Twsp, Morris County, NJ;two sisters, Marie Pavel of Hazelton, PA and Margaret Apgar of Dover, FL; a stepdaughter, Jeanette Edwards of Toms River, NJ along with ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands she is predeceased by six brothers and one sister. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 29 at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Washington. Visiting hours will be Monday, December 28 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ.
