Obituary of Harvey Reese

Harvey M. Reese, age 75, of Washington died Saturday, September 12, 2009 at his home. Harvey was born December 30, 1933 in Phillipsburg, NJ a son of the late Milton and the late Laura (Wickert) Reese. In addition to his parents Harvey is predeceased by his wife Bernice (Teeter) Reese in 1981 and his loving companion Helen DeHaas. He was a Foreman for the Oxford Textile Company, Oxford, NJ retiring many years ago. In addition he was a part-time Special Police Officer with the Mansfield Police Department for a short time. Harvey was a life long resident of Washington, NJ and was an avid hunter and liked to bowl. He enjoyed snowmobiling and four wheeling, watching baseball and golf. He will be sorely missed by his loving family. Harvey is survived by three daughters: Debbie Williams and her husband Grant of Washington State, Diane Payne of Saylorsburg, PA, Donna Meixsell of Washington, NJ. One son; David Reese and his wife Sandra “Chrissy” of Washington, NJ. A great aunt Maryann Reese of Washington, NJ. Three grandchildren; Michael Williams and his wife Rachael, Alyssa Reese and Justin Meixsell. One great grandchild; Grant Williams. A private cremation was held by DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. A graveside service will be held on Thursday September 17th at 2pm in the Hazen Cemetery, White Township.
