Obituary of Alyce Packard

Alyce E. Packard, 87, formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in the Warren Haven Nursing Home, Oxford, NJ. Alyce was born November 14, 1921 in Phillipsburg, NJ, a daughter of the late Daniel and the late Isabelle (Brower) Osborne. Alyce enjoyed bowling and also was considered a great shopper. She loved spending time with her family. Survivors:Alyce is survived by her daughter: Alyce ""Bette"" White & her husband David of Washington, NJ; two son, William C. Packard, Jr. and his wife Maria of San Diego, CA, Ronald D. Packard and his wife Alice Ann of Washington, NJ; her brother, Kenneth Osborne of Allentown, PA; four grandchildren, Deborah Bolcer, David White, Jr., Alyce Michelle Hoffmaster and Ronald Packard; and fie great grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 65 years, William C. Packard, Sr. who passed away on September 16, 2003, her parents, two brothers, Charles and Daniel Osborne and three sisters, Lillian Devine, Helen Stout and Elizabeth Bunzey all died earlier. Services: Friends may call on the family on Saturday at 10:00 am DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Montana Cemetery, Harmony Twp. Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Ave #103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927. There were 3 of us that used to walk a couple miles togeher3 times a week and then stop for coffee. I know she's in a better place.
