Obituary of Brett Cole

Brett Shawn Cole, 52, of Oxford, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York, NY. Brett was born on December 22, 1959 in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jr. and Minnie (nee Prickett) Cole. Brett was a 1978 graduate of Warren Hills High School, Washington, NJ. He loved stock cars and NASCAR. He also enjoyed building go-karts for his nephew to race. He is survived by two brothers, Lester Cole, III and wife Linda of Oxford, NJ, Shane Cole and wife Katherine of Washington, NJ, a sister, Darlene Finnegan and husband William of Washington, NJ, eight nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Richard Cole. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the funeral home. An interment will follow at Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ.
