Obituary of Christopher Rhodes

Christopher M.S. Rhodes, 32, of Washington, New Jersey passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ. Christopher was born on February 25, 1980 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of Regina Rhodes. Christopher was an avid sports fan, especially of baseball, basketball and hockey. He loved music, enjoyed drawing and surfing the Internet. He was affiliated with the ARC of Warren County and Easter Seals. Chris was in the Special Olympics several years running and in 2010, he won three gold medals. He is survived by his loving mother, Regina Rhodes; his maternal grandmother, Loretta Rhodes; his uncle, Neal Rhodes; his aunt, Claudia Rhodes; his great-uncle, Scott Rhodes; and cousin, Kierah Rhodes. He is predeceased by his brother Chase Rhodes. A visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will be at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rockville Cemetery in Lynbrook, NY.
