Obituary of Thomas Davis

Thomas Wilson Davis, 79, of Washington, NJ passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009 in the Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hamburg, PA. He was born in Newburg, NY, June 17, 1929 the son of the late George and the late Eva Cole Davis. He served in the United States Marine Corps. for 30 years. He loved working in the yard, enjoyed country music, Nascar racing and spending time with his family. Survivors: Thomas is survived by his companion of 30 years, Arlene Mueller Foss of Washington, NJ; Arlene’s son, Gary Foss and his wife Candy of Bath, PA; a brother, Ernest Davis and his wife Shirley of Kingston, NY; two sisters, Genevive Markisello of Woodbourne, NY and Flora Berryann of Wake Forest, NC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, his brothers, George, Frank and Therron Davis, and his sisters, Gwendolyn Vandermark, Gertrude Berryann, Elsie Berryann and Janette Dunn all died earlier. Services: Friends may call on Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at DeVoe’s Funeral Service, Inc. 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Montana Cemetery, Harmony Township.
