Obituary of Jennie Dickson

Jennie B. Dickson, age 102 of Lebanon Township died on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Jennie was born on July 15, 1908 in Lebanon Township, New Jersey. Mrs. Dickson was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.Augustus and Elsie (neeBurdge) Castner. Mrs. Dickson was a graduate of Washignton High School in 1920. Jennie was an avid fisher and hunter. She loved the outdoors. She taught Sunday School at Washington Assembly of God Church, Washington, New Jersey. Jennie was a mail clerk at the New Hampton General Store. Mrs. Dickson is predeased by her husband, Charles in 1963. She is survived by her son; Richard of Glen Gardner, NJ , 4 grandchildren; James, Richard, Debra, and Lori, and 3 great-grandchild; Amanda, Samantha, and Matthew. She is predeceased by her son, James and daughter Joyce, two brothers; William and Carl, and 2 sisters; Agnes Doscher and Ruby Apgar. Funeral services will be Friday, December 17 at 11:00 A.M. in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, New Jersey. Visitation will be from 10AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Pequest Union Cemetery Great Meadows, New Jersey. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of DeVoe Funeral Services, Inc. of Washington NJ.
