Obituary of Charles Forsythe

Charles E. Forsythe, 73, of York, SC, formerly of Washington, NJ died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, in Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. Charles was born on July 15, 1935 in Mendham, NJ a son of the late Oliver O. Forsythe and Emily Fagan Forsythe. He was a retired truck driver with Barfield Grading in Fort Mill, SC. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors: He is survived by his wife Sandra Burlew Forsythe of York, SC, daughter Wendi Chemelli of E. Stroudsburg, PA, three step-children, Rick Coleman of Florida, Mike Coleman of Texas, and Donna Coleman of New Jersey, a brother Boynton Forsythe of Philadelphia, PA, and seven grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers including his twin brother George. Services: Visitation will be held on Monday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm.
