Sister Owens was a godly woman who influenced her family. Although I never met
her, I thank God for her testimony. Her life will continue to bless people until
the Lord comes.
Tribute from: The Gregory Family
It has been our pleasure to know Bessie. Even though we were parted by miles and
wasn't able to visit much. The times we did visit with her we enjoyed not only her
fellowship but also her very wonderful cooking. We remember her as a very giving person,
loving mother and grandmother with a very joyful spirit about her. We know in the
arms of God she is now free to worship without pain and suffering. Our prayers and
condolences' to her family.

I'm sure Aunt Bessie is with our Lord Jesus right now. She was a special blessing
to Lynda and I. When we lived in Houston and she stayed with us for awhile. Her
visit came at an early time in our marriage and she was most helpful with her
wittiness. ( I think she was just being herself ).
Our love and prayers Curtis & Lynda Buchanan

She was one of the sweetest people that I had ever met. She is definitely dancing
around God's throne right now with unspeakable joy. My deepest sympathy on your loss,
but joy in her gain.
Love, Bro.Mario

Granny Owens was a beautiful woman of God. What a witness she was to everyone around her. No words
can express our love for her. She will be greatly missed and holidays will not be the same without
her. I am so thankful that my children got to know her and that she was such a major part of my
life. I can not remember a day of my childhood without her in it. She was always there. I know that
her prayers have kept me and my family in the will of God and that they have protected me in times
I was in trouble. She is no longer suffering, Hallelujah! For she is with Jesus and she has a new
body and is in the Holy presence of God Almighty! Granny I can not wait to see you again. Know
that we love you and you will always be a part of our daily thoughts. I miss you and will always be
honored that you were my ""Granny"".

I am so thankful that I was blest to talk with my sister thru these last few months. It ""made my
day""! When youngsters we were near the same age and enjoyed each other. Then as adults, her family
and mine were very close. We usually spent special holidays and summer get-togethers, at their
home in Porter. They had a nice quiet place where the children could run and play together. As time
past, and Owen had gone to be with the Lord, our families grew apart. Our children had grown up and
gone to different parts of the world. We do miss those times together but know that we can spend
eternity together,if each of us accept Jesus Christ as our savior. This is how Bessie tried to
show the young ones to live their lives. She was a good example to all who knew her.
