Obituary of Gilbert Mahler

Gilbert Allen Mahler, Jr., age 41, of Asbury, NJ died at home Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Asbury. Gilbert born June 26, 1969 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Gilbert Allen and Patricia (Duffy) Mahler, Sr. He was married to Jill Geosits for seventeen wonderful years. He was employed by Pepperidge Farms as a Distributor. Gilbert was a volunteer fireman, past Asst. Chief and proud member of Asbury Station #3. Gilbert is survived by his wife: Jill, one daughter, Courtney Aline Mahler one son, Gilbert Allen Mahler, III both at home; his mother Patricia (Duffy) Mahler and a sister: Linda Lidell of Stanhope, NJ. Services will begin at 9:45 am Monday at DeVoe Funeral Service. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 am in the Church Of Annunciation, Bloomsbury, NJ. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Sunday,from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. A Fireman's Service will be at 4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. The family is requesting those that would like to honor Gilbert’s memory may do so by making donations to Asbury Fire Co #3, c/o Franklin Twp.
