Obituary of Kathy Unangst

Kathy A Unangst, 64 of Pohatcong Twp NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, after a lengthy illness, Saturday December 27, 2014. She was born August 3, 1950 in Washington Twp ( Warren County) NJ. She was the daughter of the late Stewart Russell and Evelyn "Jo" (Hill) Unangst. Kathy had worked for years as Secretary for Stews Auto Body in Washington NJ. She was a graduate of Warren Hills High School class of 1968. She was a member of St James Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg NJ. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, she was active in her Church's Senior League. In her earlier years she was an avid bowler, Kathy loved trips to the shore and many travel adventures. She enjoyed hosting and attending many family gatherings. Surviving is a companion of over 30 years Barry Slack, 3 daughters Tammie J.Roseberry-Nothnagel, Teresa J Roseberry-Muretta and Tracy J Unangst-Newlander and her husband Jeffrey, two brothers, Jake and Todd Unangst, 6 sisters, Joyce Mowder, Claire MacIntyre, Evelyn Hanson, Cheryl Leggio, Gwen Burdge and Kimberly Merluzzi, 7 grandchildren, Matthew Roseberry, Andrew Muretta, Jeffrey and Jessica Newlander, Kaitlin, Kyle, and Klaudia Nothnagel. Also surviving are Barry's Children, Shannon, Kelli and her husband Chris, and Erin, and grandchildren Jeremy, Breanne, Emily, Lillian, Madison, and John. Kathy was predeceased by a brother Stewart Unangst Jr and a sister Jill George. The visitation will be Tuesday December 30 5-8 PM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ 07882. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 31 11 AM in the St James Lutheran Church 1213 Route 22 West ( Straw Church) Phillipsburg NJ..
