Obituary of Richard Howell

Richard Howell, 54, of Washington, NJ passed away on June 28, 2015. Richard was born on August 30, 1960 to Cyril and Marie (Prezutti) Howell in Manhattan, NY. He earned his black seal license among other certifications and worked as a maintenance engineer for Able Service/Normandy Realty. Everyone knew him as "Uncle Rich." He loved children especially those with special needs and he became assistant cub master for the Boy Scouts pack 156. He also really loved his dogs and he will always be remembered by his smile and willingness to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Richard is survived by his wife, Maureen (McGuire) Howell and his son, Richard Howell II. He is also survived by a brother Cyril Howell and his wife Angie; a brother Thomas Howell and his wife Mary Ann; a sister Audrey Lowerre; a sister Carol Howell; and a God daughter Katy Howell. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his daughter Rachael Marie (1991), brother Peter Howell, a nephew Steven Howell, brother-in-law Frank Lowerre, sister-in-law Melinda Howell, and sister-in-law Susan McGuire. Viewings will be held on Monday July 6, 2015 from 6:00pm- 9:00pm and Tuesday July 7, 2015 from 8:30am-10:00am at DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral service will be Tuesday July 7 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church 200 W. Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
