Obituary of Dorothy Schwartz

Dorothy M. Schwartz, 83 of White Township, NJ passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Easton Hospital, Easton, PA. Dorothy was born on August 11, 1927 in Delaware, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Ada (nee Allen) Osmun. Dorothy was the food service manager at Voorhees High School, Voorhees, NJ. She was a member of the Musconetcong Valley Presbyterian Church for over 6o years and a former Deacon. Dororthy taught Sunday School for many years. She operated the Thrift Store at the church, served on session of the church, and she hosted and attended bible study for many years. Dorothy loved gardening and most especially her pet birds and enjoyed wild birds as well. She was an avid reader and baker. She loved spening time with her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving husband; Albert Schwartz Sr. in 1995. She is survived by her two sons; Albert Schwartz Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Hampton, NJ, Wayne Schwartz and wife Faye of Nazareth, PA, a daughter; Dorothy Antonow of White Township, NJ, two brothers; Fred and Ralph Osmun of Delaware NJ, a sister; Jennie Housman of White Township, NJ, a half sister Marjorie Frace of Danielsville Pa, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Robert in 1980 and brothers Oliver and Charles Osmun. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Musconetcong Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Hampton, NJ. Donations in Dorothy’s memory may be sent to the church for the restoration fund. The burial will follow in the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ.
