Obituary of Bruna Bowers

Bruna B. Bowers, 87, of Washington, NJ passed away quietly on Tuesday, April 9, 2012 at The House of the Good Shephard, Hackettstown, NJ. She was born on September 2, 1925 in Phillipsburg, NJ. Bruna was a full time homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Cleto and Benelda (nee Ghiacci) Ghetti. Bruna attended Washington High School, Washington, NJ. She was a former member of the Junior Woman's Club of Washington. She was an avid sports fan especially of the Mets and enjoyed bowling. She loved gardening and collecting baseball cards and stamps. She was a member of the Changewater United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Clark C. Bowers, Jr. She is also survived by her son Clark C. Bowers, III. and his wife Jackie of Pittstown, NJ, six grandchildren, Janet Spentzos and her husband Dino of Newport, RI, Christopher Bowers and his companion Kim Lamothe of Tiverton, RI, Johathan Bowers of Pittstown, NJ, Jordan Bowers of Hoboken, NJ, Erin O'Hara and her husband Keith of Port Murray, NJ and Kerri Molnar and her husband Jason of Wilmington, DE. Also surviving are 5 great grandchildren, Niko, Gianni, Connor, Cullen and Jackson. Bruna was also survived by her siblings Enes Bolmer of Apopka, FL, Rena Mangiacotti of Washington, NJ, Annie Lance of Long Valley, NJ and sister-in-law Doris Ghetti, of Hackettstown, NJ. She was predeceased by siblings Zita Beam, Rita Kinnaman, Nelson Ghetti, Dalio Ghetti, Bruno Ghetti and two other brothers. Bruna was also survived by her extended family siblings Gladys Wismer, Shirley Weidner, Joyce Brobst, Marlene Nunn and Henry Loebsack and predeceased by extended family parents Henry and Florence Loebsack, and extended siblings Thelma Wlazelck, Charles Loebsack, Orvetta 'Betsy' Wismer, James Loebsack, George Loebsack, Donald Loebsack, and Richard Loebsack. Services will be private and he held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Washington Emergency Squad, 100 Belvidere Ave, Washington, NJ 07882 or Changewater United Methodist Church, 180 Musconetcong River Rd., Changewater, NJ.
