Obituary of Beryl Shive

Beryl Olive Castner Shive 91 of Washington NJ passed away peacefully at the home of her grandaughter Bren of Hellertown Pa. Born March 21, 1918 in Changewater NJ she was the daughter of the late Howard and Laura Andersen Castner. She graduated from Hampton High School with high honors. She worked at High Bridge Commercial Dress Factory for over 30 years retiring in 1980. She was a member of the I.L.G.W. Union. Beryl enjoyed baking, reading, puzzling, pinochle and spending time with her daughter. She was a member of the Musconetcong Valley Presbyterian Church in Hampton NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband Harrison E. Shive whom she was married to for 57 years. She is survived by her daughter Carol Anema of Washington NJ, 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death be her son Eliis, two brothers George Castner and Clarence Castner, a sister Ethel Castner, and a son-in-law Ralph R Anema. Graveside Services will be Thursday at 11AM in the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton NJ.
