Obituary of Virginia Lee Poyer

Virginia Lee "Ginger" Poyer, 54, of Columbia, NJ passed away on October 4, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. Virginia was born on October 20, 1961 in Phillipsburg, NJ to Claude and Marion (Woolf) Meixsell. She retired from Warren Haven in Oxford, NJ where she was the housekeeping and laundry supervisor. Ginger enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, doing plastic canvas, and anything involving ducks. In addition to her mother, Virginia is survived by her companion of 15 years Frank Reitz of Phillipsburg, NJ, her son Steven Poyer, and her daughter Amanda Poyer of Columbia, NJ, and her former husband Elmer Poyer of Washington, NJ. She is also survived by 2 brothers; James Meixsell of Columbia, NJ and Danny Meixsell of Arizona and a sister Shirley Meixsell Deems of Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her father (1985) and by a brother Claude Meixsell (2003). DeVoe Funeral Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
