Obituary of Nellie Bulmer

Nellie Elizabeth Bulmer, 86, of Washington Borough and later Oxford, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Care Center of Brakeley Park, Lopatcong Township, NJ. Nellie was born on January 12, 1927 in Lopatcong Township, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. and Anna B. Woolfe. She was one of nine children. Nellie was a homemaker and loving mother of six children. Nellie was a lifetime member of the Washington Ladies Auxiliary of the Washington Borough Fire Department. She was previously employed by Elco Hemming in Washington, NJ for many years. She was very proud to have grown up and lived on a farm. She was an avid gardener and loved growing flowers and tomatoes. She absolutely loved the New York Yankees. Nellie was of the Presbyterian faith. She is predeceased by her late husband Howard in 1996 and her son Jerry in 2003. She is survived by a daughter Linda Radcliff and companion Michael Gometro of Oxford, NJ; four sons Howard Jr. "Butch" of Washington, NJ; David and his wife Doris of NC; Donnie and his wife Peg of Oxford, NJ; Dale and his wife Kathy of NC; a sister Freda Berger of Washington, NJ, fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by five brothers Art, Stanley, Chester, Charlie, George, and Ernie and a sister Lulu. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A service will follow in the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Montana Cemetery, Harmony Township, NJ. Memorials may be sent in Nellie's memory to the Washington Ladies Auxiliary or Washington Fire Department, 100 Belvidere Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
