Obituary of Arnold Snyder
Arnold W. Snyder of Glen Burnie Md, formerly of Washington NJ, died at his home on Friday, February 10, 2006 at the age of 94 with his loving family at his side.
He was the former Director and member of the Warren County Welfare Board, Belvidere NJ Mr. Snyder also worked as an Accountant. He was born in Washington NJ, October 02, 1911. He was the son of the late Elmer and Millie Nunn Snyder. He and his wife the former Jennie Juinta were married at St Josephs Catholic Church in Washington NJ, November 20, 1953. He graduated from Rutgers University He was the former Secretary of the Washington Board of Education at the time of building the Brass Castle School. He Loved to Travel and to read.
Memberships: He was a member of the Warren Council # 17 NJ Civil Service Association., a member of Communication workers of America and Warren Hills Friendship club.
Survivors: In addition to his wife Jennie, Mr. Snyder is survived by two sons, Carl and his wife Barbara and Neil and his wife Charlotte, 3 Step-Children Thomas A. Quinn and his wife Marcia, Daniel Quinn and his wife Christie and Kathleen Malaska. Mr. Snyder has 11 grandchildren that also survive him, Steven Snyder, David Snyder, Timothy Snyder, Laurel Harrison, Thomas M. Quinn, Michael Malaska, Matthew Malaska, Lisa Moore, Matthew Quinn, Mark Quinn, Abi Quinn. 5 Great Grandchildren also survive him Scott Snyder, Margaret and Thomas F. Quinn, Kayli and Breanna Moore. 2 Nieces, June Ruloff and Ruth Snyder and two nephews Richard and Alan Snyder also survive him.
Brothers, Oakley, and Eugene Snyder preceded him in death.
Services: Funeral Services will be celebrated Thursday at 11 AM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ. Family and friends may call 10 AM until time of service. Interment will follow in the Port Murray Cemetery, Port Murray NJ.
