Obituary of Mary Winchurch

Mary Winchurch, daughter of the late Arturo and Rosa (Mazzocchi) Alimi, born April 10, 1922 in Union NJ, died on August 1st, 2010 in Warren Hospital. She worked as a seamstress at Elco Hemming and Karen Lu Sportswear retiring due to complications of diabetes. She was on dialysis for 13 years. She enjoyed caring for her family, cooking and traveling worldwide. Mary was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Washington, NJ. Mary is survived by her loving husband Walter, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage; two daughters, Loretta Reardon and Karen Conroy; a son Walter; a brother Louis and a brother-in-law Bob. She will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren; Alyson, Ryan, Mark, Mary, Kelsey and Emily and her four great-grandchildren, Jason, Evan, Taylor and Jared, who loved their "Gram" and "GiGi." She was predeceased by a daughter Olivia in 1995 and two brothers Frank and Joseph. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in the DeVoe Funeral Service, 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 200 West Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ. Burial will follow in the St Joseph Cemetery.
