Obituary of Stewart Unangst

Stewart Russell Unangst, Jr.-known as "Bud" or "Stewie", 64, of Columbia, NJ passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, PA. Stewart was born on August 1, 1947 in Washington, NJ. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.Stewart and Josephine Unangst. Stewart served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1966-1968. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and loved his pet cats. He was a former member of Knowlton Fire Department and former assistant chief, and founding member of the Knowlton Lions Club. He was also the owner of SRU Trucking. Stewart and his wife Jackie celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on March 11, 2012. He is survived by wife Jackie (Jacqueline) nee Paini, two daughters, Wendy and husband Stephen Sanders of Buffalo NY, Kelly and husband Rob Cole of Stroudsburg, PA, four grandchildren, Jacqueline and Parker Sanders, Robert and Bethany Cole, two brothers, eight sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A service will follow at 2:00 p.m. An interment will follow the service at Stewartsville Lutheran Cemetery, Stewartsville, NJ.
