Obituary of Josephine Manara

Josephine R. Manara, age 88 of Oxford died on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, New Jersey. Josephine was born on December 24, 1922 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Agustus and Emma (neeOfferman) Slett. Mrs. Manara was a homemaker and cared for her six children. Josephine is predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Ceaser Manara in 1998. She is survived by 1 son; Patrick Smythe of hackettstown, NJ, 3 daughters; Maureen Glennon of Oxford, NJ, Karen DeDolce of Watley, NJ, and Sheri Tolve of Watley,NJ, 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.She is also predeceased by her 2 sons; Richard Smythe and Mark Smythe, and her brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.at the Trintity United Methodist Church, Hackettstown,NJ.The DeVoe Funeral Service, 136 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882, has been entrusted with her arrangements.
