Obituary of Stephen Ayers

Stephen C. Ayers, 65, of Washington, New Jersey passed away on January 24, 2013 at the Care Center of Phillipsburg, Phillipsburg, NJ. Stephen was born on September 21, 1947 in Broadway, NJ. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold K., Sr. and Shirley (nee Kelly) Ayers. Stephen was an avid fisher and hunter. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He is survived by a son, Stephen C. Ayers, Jr. of Juneau, AK, two sisters, Susan Regina of Easton, PA, Mary Saurwein of San Diego, CA, two granddaughters, Samantha and Maddison Ayers, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
