Obituary of Marshall Krause

Marshall Edward Krause Sr, 86, formerly of Port Colden NJ, died October 4, 2011 in Larksville,PA. He was born in Luzerne, PA on February 28, 1925. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Florence Hoover Krause. Marshall worked as a Coater at M & M Mars Co. in Hackettstown,NJ for 32 years retiring several years ago. He served in the US Army during WW 2. He received the Purple Heart Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, World War II Victory Ribbon, European Africian Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Stars. He resided in Port Colden for almost 60 years. Marshall was an avid hunter and fisherman. He belonged to the Anderson Rod and Gun Club. Marshall was a member of the Phillipsburg Alliance Church in Phillipsburg, NJ HIs first wife Marquerite Handlos Marshall preceded her in death in 1994. Surviving are his second wife, Marion Nemeth of Phillipsburg NJ, a son Marshall Jr. and his wife Mary Lou of Dallas PA, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by all of his 11 brothers and sisters, a son Robert and a grandchild. Funeral Services will be Friday at 11am in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington, NJ. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
