Obituary of Mary Russick

Mary Russick, age 89, of Oxford died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Mary was born June 24, 1921 in Oxford, NJ a daughter of the late Stephen and the late Eva (Durkot) Rudy. She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Michael Russick, Sr. in 2004. She was employed by Elco Hemming as a Seamstress. Mary loved to cook, sew and garden and to dance the polka. She also enjoyed playing bingo, the lottery and traveling to casinos. She was especially fond of spending time with her family and in particular her children. She was well known for her cabbage rolls. Mary was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Oxford, NJ. Mary is survived by three daughters: Maureen Hines and her husband Francis of Sudbury, MA, Monita Leavitt of Woodbury, CT and Marla Young and her husband Ralph of Port Charlotte, FL; one son, Michael Russick, Jr. of Oxford, NJ; two sisters, Ann Viola of Somerville, NJ, and Margaret Maynard of NYC, NY and two grandchildren, Marisa Hines and Tamara Jenkin. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary is predeceased by a daughter, Marsha Russick a grandson, Ryan Leavitt and her four brothers and three sisters. A private service will be held on Friday at DeVoe Funeral Service, 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
