George E. Boyer, 81, of Washington, NJ passed away on Sunday November 27, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. George was born on April 9, 1930 in Washington, NJ. He was the son on the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Evelyn ( neeHuff) Boyer Jr. George was a graduate of Washington High School in 1948. He was an avid Washington and Warren Hills Wrestling and Football fan. He was a Korean War Veteran. George was a lifetime member of the AME Church, Washington, NJ and was a founding member of the Warren Hills Booster Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years; Myra Tersigni-Boyer. He is also survived by two sons; George Boyer Jr. of Macungie, PA and Jeff Boyer of Plainsboro, NJ, five brothers; Charles Boyer of Jackson, NJ, Osborne Boyer of Piscataway, NJ, Allan Boyer of Plainfield, NJ, Paul Boyer of Irvington, NJ, and Ronald Boyer of Charleston, SC, three sisters; Lillian Boyer of Newark, NJ, Ramona Thomas of Union, NJ, and Suzanne Boyer of Newark, NJ, four grandchildren; Tiffany Boyer, George Boyer III, Jeffrey Boyer, Jr., and Kyla Boyer, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by five brothers; Donald Boyer, Parker Boyer, Richard, Robert, and William Boyer. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah AME Church, 169 North Lincoln Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church. A burial will follow at Greenwich Presbyterian Cemetery, Stewartsville, NJ. Donations may be made to the Mt. Pisgah AME Church, in lieu of flowers at P.O. Box 393, Washington, NJ 07882.
