Obituary of Pearl Taylor

Pearl Hilda Taylor, 77, of New Bloomfield PA, passed away Tuesday, June 15 2010 in Holy Spirit Hospital Camp Hill PA. She was born in Northumberland PA, December 23, 1932 a daughter of the late John and the late Pearl Hilda (Rhoades) Miller. She was last employed as a cashier for Mutzabaugh's Family Market in Duncannon PA. She had also worked at Rite Aid in Enola PA. While living in Washington NJ, she had worked at Falks, American Can and Mobil Chemical. Pearl enjoyed gardening, baking and crafting. She loved living in NJ and camping in Gaines, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stanley Taylor, Sr. on June 7, 1981. She is survived by her companion of 19 years John "Cookie" Cox Jr, a son John Taylor and his wife Bonny of Provo Utah a daughter Patricia Handlos and her husband John Jr. of Washington NJ, , a stepson George in Colorado, three sisters, Anna Carpenter and her husband Walter of Perdix PA, Lola Carpenter and her husband Gerald of Duncannon PA and Mary Vernell of PA, many nieces and nephews , eight step grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well as her beloved white german shepard Honey Girl. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and John and a stepson James Jr. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave., Washington NJ. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:30 am in the funeral home with the Rev. Joan Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at the Washington Cemetery, Washington NJ.
