Obituary of Rachel Wolverton

Rachel Marie Caliendo Wolverton, 43, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away in St. Luke's Fountain Hill Hospital on September 15, 2014. Rachel was born on June 30, 1971 to Daniel and Rosamund "Joy" (Lockwood) Caliendo. Rachel was a 1990 graduate of Mount Saint John Academy in Pepack/Gladstone, NJ. She went on to graduate from Warren County College with a criminal justice degree in 2008. In her last semester she was Magna Cum Laude. Rachel became the floor manager at Halterman Toyota in Stroudsburg, PA. While in high school she participated in softball team, drama club, photography and cheerleading. Rachel served as a volunteer counselor at Camp Fatima for the severely developmentally disabled. Her husband and children were her world. She loved them very much. Rachel loved to rescue animals, especially cats. She is survived by her parents, her husband John, her daughters, Kathleen Mary "Katie" Caliendo and Sarah Mackenzie "BooBoo" Wolverton, all of Phillipsburg, NJ. She is also survived by her brother Damian Thomas of Clinton, NJ. She was especially close to her late grandmother, Eileen Lockwood. Visitation will be held Friday September 19, 2014 from 5-8pm with a service following at 8pm at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington NJ. Cremation to be held at The H.G. Smith Crematory Stroudsburg, PA. Memorials donations may be made in care of the family to the funeral home. The DeVoe Funeral Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.
