Obituary of Scott Schoonmaker

Scott Vernon Schoonmaker 48 of Columbia NJ died Sunday February 2nd after a long battle with cancer . He was born in Phillipsburg NJ January 12, 1966. he was the son of the late Lee Schoonmaker and Betty Sequine Schoonmaker Danko of Livingston NJ . Scott was a devoted and loyal son, brother, uncle and friend. He was always helpful, kind, and generous to those he loved. He was a central figure in the lives of the people fortunate enough to know him. He was the "Go To Guy", the "Eye of the Storm", the "Answer Man" for many of us. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. In addition to his mother Betty, he is survived by a step father Nick Danko, a sister Debra Wilson of Washington NJ , a brother Kerry Schoonmaker of Bethesda MD, five nephews: Tom, Cory, and Michael Wilson and Brian and Bruce Schoonmaker, and best fiends John Buley, Lou & Brian Beam, Dan Caufield, and Steve Egan A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 15th, at 6pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church situated at the corner of Firth and Hudson Streets, Phillipsburg NJ. The DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882 has been entrusted with his arrangements.
