Obituary of Shirley Chamberlain

Shirley Castner Chamberlain 81 of Phillipsburg NJ passed away on Tuesday September 13th 2016 in the Care Center of Brakley, Lopatcong Twp NJ. She was born in Phillipsburg NJ August 17, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Sadie Collins Castner. She and her late husband Alfred were married for 55 years before his death in 2008. She grew up in Changewater and Port Colden NJ but lived most of her life in High Bridge NJ. She had belonged to the Changewater Methodist Church. Shirley is survived by her son Alfred Jr ( Sonny) and his wife Jean of Port Orange Fl, Four daughters, Donna Freels of Washington NJ, Dale Maguire and her husband Mike of Changewater NJ, Janet Chamberlain of Phillipsburg NJ, and Doris Melick and her husband Bob of Alpha NJ, Two sisters Janet Sigmund of North Carolina and Sue Trincheria of Stewartsville NJ, 15 grandhildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday September 17, 2016 at 12 Noon in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882. Friends may call from 10am until Noon. Interment to follow in the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ 07882.
