Obituary of Alexsandra " Alice" Denysenko Johnson

Alexsandra “Alice” Denysenko Johnson 68, of Phillipsburg NJ formerly of Port Murray, NJ died at her home on Sunday January 8, 2017. She was born in Munich Germany January 1,1949. She was the daughter of the late Hrehorij “George” and Halyna Hominetz Denysenko. Alice graduated Hackettstown High School and then attended The Churchman's Business School in Easton, PA. She worked in the Business Effectiveness Support office of M & M Mars in Hackettstown NJ. She enjoyed reading mysteries, doing crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting, arts and crafts. Alice also loved her pets. While living in Port Murray, she belonged to the Elevation of the Holy Cross Eastern Orthodox Church. Upon moving to Phillipsburg she attended the Wesley United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of thirty two years, Edgar Johnson; a daughter Victoria Johnson of White Twp. NJ; a sister Nina Denysenko and her husband Stan Cohen of Port Murray NJ; brother-in-law, Lawrence Adams of Cape Cod MA; a niece Kristina and husband Dr. Christopher Blakeslee; and a nephew Michael Adams and his wife Christina. A sister Olga Adams preceded her in death. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 14, 2017 at 11AM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882. Inurnment will follow in the Port Murray Cemetery, Port Murray NJ.
