Obituary of Andrew Hicswa

Andrew Hicswa Jr., 57 of Washington, NJ passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Hackettstown Hospital, Hackettstown, NJ. Andrew was born on January 21, 1954 in Passaic, NJ. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Sr. and Connie ( nee Cole) Hicswa. Andrew graduated from Don Bosco Technical Institute with a degree in Plumbing and Electrial. He was a former Floor Foreman for Smithkline Beecham, Clifton, NJ in which he retired in 2010. Andrew was a member of the Garfield Fire Company, Company # 1 for 11 years. He was a dedicated to his family and loved spending time with them. He is survived by his loving wife; Diane Crunk Hicswa of 34 years. He is survived by one son; Donald Hicswa of Washington, NJ, two half-daughters; Shari Mahon and Jeannie Planthaber, two brothers; Brian Hicswa and Danny Hicswa, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
