Obituary of Edward Schultheis

Edward R. Schultheis, 87, of Oxford, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Warren Haven Nusing Home, Oxford, NJ. Edward was born on December 16, 1924 in Flushing, NY. He was the son of the late Mr. Charles J. Schultheis and Arceneth M. Bertgchinger. Edward worked as a master maintenace mechanic for M&M Mars, Hackettstown, NJ. In his earlier years, Edward worked in greenhouses and worked as a blacksmith for Allenwood Steel Company, Oxford, NJ. He was involved in Boy Scouts for many years. He was in the M&M Mars Bowling league and ran the golf tournament with Ron Semocle and Jack Froch for many years. He enjoyed golf and archery. Edward is predeceased by his loving wife, Eugenia Lucille Larkin in 1997. He is survived by five sons, William of Alexandria, VA, Charles of New Orleans, LA, Edward of East Storudsburg, PA, Joseph of Mt. Pocono, PA, and Michael of Martins Creek, PA, a daughter, Patricia Mound of Oxford, NJ, a half brother, Luke Potite, eighteen grandchildren , and several great-grandchildren. Edward was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara, a brother, Charles who died in World War II, and a half sister, Carol Gosseweiler. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 7:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Warren Haven Nursing Home, 350 Oxford Ave., Oxford, NJ 07863.
