Obituary of Stephen Keely

Stephen F. Keely, 65, of Glen Gardner, NJ passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ. Stephen was born on August 9, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis and Helen ( nee Campbell) Keely. Stephen was a graduate of Metro State of Denver Colorado with a Bachelor's of Science in Communications. He served for the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Vietnam Veteran's of America, American Legion Post 1000, Trenton, NJ, and the Wounded Warrior's Project. He loved animals in which he had a soft spot for. Stephen was also writing a novel upon death. He was a parishioner of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Hampton, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Patricia ( Matthews ) Keely. He is also survived by a daughter, Piper Lynn Keely- Aron, and a sister, Noreen Keely of MA. A visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 6 Church Street, Hampton, NJ 08827.
