Obituary of Ernest Grant Harvey Sr.

Ernest Grant Harvey Sr., age 69, of Glen Gardner, NJ, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Hunterdon Medical Center. Born on March 30, 1953, in Somerville, NJ. He was the son of the late Ernest Harvey and the late Mavie Harvey (nee Cornett).

Ernest was a North Hunterdon High School graduate. He married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Harvey (nee Cooper), on November 16, 1974.  Together they raised three children; Ernest Jr., Michael, and Kristy, whom he adored. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Ernest worked as a school bus driver and mechanic for the Morris-Union Jointure.  His work carried over into his passion of working on cars. One of his favorite places to be, was in his garage. He could often be found under the hood tinkering with cars whenever possible.

Ernest will be forever missed by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Harvey; sons, Ernest Grant Harvey Jr. and his partner Thomas Stephens, Michael James Harvey and his wife Heather Jaime; daughter Kristy Anne Brown and her husband Timothy Alan; brother, Fred Harvey and his wife Patricia; sisters, Freda Seiple, Alice Reed, Evelyn Jennings and her husband Edward, Florence Brown and her husband Harold; granddaughter, Amber Holder and her husband Matthew; and his aunt, Mary Hall.

Friends and relatives may gather with the family on Friday, June 10^th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 11^th at Faith Discovery Church, 33 Brass Castle Road, Washington, NJ 07882.
