Obituary of Edwina Eleanor Tinsman

It is with great sorrow that we must say goodbye to Edwina Eleanor Tinsman (Eaton) who went to be with the lord on Tuesday November 8th, 2022, at the age of 86.

Edwina was a selfless and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born on Friday December 13th, 1935, in New Brunswick, NJ to Edward Joseph Eaton Sr. and Olga Yuhasz Shepherd. It is there she lived out her childhood with her siblings who predeceased her, Elaine and Edward Jr. At the age of 17 she married the love of her life, the late Clifford N. Tinsman Sr. Cliff and Edwina were married for 55 years and resided in East Brunswick, NJ before Cliff passed away in 2009. The two loved traveling across the United States in their camper visiting many national parks and spending time at Island beach state Park. Edwina had a love for crosswords, animals, and nature, especially her cat “Bootsie” and her pet squirrel “Rocky”. She had an even deeper love for her family, always making her loved ones her biggest priority.

She is survived by her son Clifford N Tinsman Jr and wife Susan “Alice” of Asbury, NJ, her daughter Doreen Saly of Las Vegas, NV. Her four treasured grandchildren Jessica (John) Juadines and Kristofer Saly (Jackie Pagone) of Las Vegas, NV, Krista (Judd) Palmatier of Virginia Beach, VA, and Clifford Russell “CR” (Kelsey) Tinsman of Stewartsville, NJ. She also felt extremely blessed to have 6 great grandchildren Giacomo (9) Emma (9), Jolene (6), Lia (6), Everett (1), and John Jr. (6 months); as well as numerous nieces and nephews who she cherished with all her heart. 

She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

All services are being held privately in accordance with Edwina’s wishes.
