Obituary of Joshua I. Mornick
Joshua Ivan Mornick, 20, of Washington, New Jersey passed away unexpectedly on November 27th, 2022. Joshua was born May 2nd, 2002 to his beloved mother Tammy Mornick, in Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey. Joshua was raised in Washington and recently graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School in 2021.
Joshua will always be remembered as a hardworking kind soul with a loving personality. Josh was always a protective son of his mother, a great grandson and nephew, and friend to so many. As a young man growing up Joshua participated in many things from running club, ski club where he learned to ski and snowboard, archery club, to little league baseball and soccer; he even played in the school band. He also had felt the need to help his community and was a Jr. FireFighter for a short time and also volunteered his time to many worthy causes, one being Habitat for Humanity. He loved being able to put a smile on perhaps a less fortunate family’s face. In his more recent years Joshua developed a love for the outdoors and enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and shooting. He also enjoyed challenging himself by hiking and climbing at some of our most beautiful local trails.
Joshua leaves behind his beloved mother Tammy Mornick, Uncle Bill, Uncle Jim and Aunt Lauren, Uncle Chuck, Cousins Maxwell, Cora, Mackenzie, Hannah, Ethan, and Zoey, as well as his Grandfather Bill Mornick and his wife Carrise.
Joshua is predeceased by his Grammie Ellen Settele.
